Surface Water Intern

Job Objectives

•  Assist with hydrology inputs into ESIA, EMP, IWWMP and IWULA processes
• Assist with water quantity and quality monitoring and analysis as part of baseline assessments
• Support floodline determinations and hydrological assessments
• Use HEC-RAS and other hydrology software for modelling and analysis
• Assist in the preparation of water permit applications and other regulatory submissions
• Conduct fieldwork, including site reconnaissance and water sampling
• Assist with technical report writing surface water management and hydrological assessments within the resources sector.

• Basic project management implementation capability
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Self-motivated, proactive and creative
• Basic hydrology ad hydraulic modelling skills
• Basic understanding of the National Water Act and DWS guidelines
