We invite applications from students pursuing or intending to pursue qualifications in the following disciplines:

  • Environmental Science / Environmental Management.

  • Hydrology / Hydrogeology.

  • Geographical Information Systems (GIS).

  • Aquatic / Ecology 

  • Social Sciences / Sociology.

  • Stakeholder Engagement / Community Development.

  • Archeology 
Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must:

  • Be a South African citizen.

  • Be enrolled or intending to enroll at a recognized tertiary institution in South Africa.

  • Demonstrate academic excellence and a genuine passion for environmental sustainability.

  • Have a strong sense of responsibility and commitment to contributing to society and the environment.

Application Requirements

Applicants must submit:

  1. A motivational letter explaining why they wish to pursue a career in the environmental sector and how they align with Digby Wells’ values.

  2. A certified copy of their ID document.

  3. Academic transcripts or latest results.

  4. Proof of registration or provisional acceptance at a tertiary institution.

  5. An updated CV with contact details.

Service Obligation

Successful bursary recipients may be required to:

  • Participate in vacation work or internships at Digby Wells Environmental during academic breaks.

  • Work for Digby Wells Environmental for a period equivalent to the duration of their bursary funding, after graduation.
