The Department of Higher Education and Training (DHET) is offering Graduate Internship and Work Integrated Learning (WIL) opportunities in the Financial Service Unit within the CFO Branch.

This 24-month programme provides practical workplace experience in financial management, accounting, and related functions in the public sector. Participants will receive mentorship and exposure to government finance operations, enhancing their employability and professional skills. The DHET promotes diversity and encourages applications from people living with disabilities.

Requirements

BCom Degree in:

• Financial Management
• Accounting (with Mathematics)
• N6 Certificate in Financial Management
• Must be unemployed and have never participated in an internship programme in the Public Service.
• Must be a South African citizen.
• Must be available for the entire internship duration.
• Applicants with foreign qualifications must have them evaluated by SAQA.
• May not have previously served as a graduate intern or contract worker in the Public Service.
