The Department of Higher Education and Training (DHET) invites applications for a Graduate Internship in the Compliance Unit within the CFO Branch.

This 24-month internship provides hands-on experience in compliance monitoring, internal auditing, and financial governance in the public sector. Successful candidates will gain valuable skills, mentorship, and exposure to government processes. The DHET promotes employment equity and encourages applications from people living with disabilities

Requirements

National Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in:

• Internal Audit
• Accounting
• Financial Management
• Must be unemployed and have never participated in an internship programme in the Public Service.
• Must be a South African citizen.
• Must be available for the entire internship duration.
• Applicants with foreign qualifications must have them evaluated by SAQA.
• May not have previously served as a graduate intern or contract worker in the Public Service.
