Required Skills and Competencies
- Strong expertise in communication strategy and public relations.
- Experience in communication strategy development, media relations, and public engagement.
- Proficiency in digital communication tools, content creation, and social media management.
- Experience in designing and disseminating communication materials, particularly in the context of international development or public health.
- Proficiency in office software applications (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite) and basic design tools.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage with a diverse range of stakeholders.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and meet tight deadlines.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and adapt to a fast-paced work environment.
- Proficiency in one AU official language (French, English, Portuguese, Arabic), with fluency in another as an advantage.
- Ability to work in a multicultural and multilingual environment.
- Excellent presentation, report writing, and communication skills.
Education and Experience:
A Master's degree in Communication, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field with a minimum relevant experience of two (2) years of working experience within multilateral/ development institutions or similar organisations nationally, regionally and/or internationally.
Experience in international development or public health programs is added advantage.
OR
A Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field with a minimum relevant experience of four (4) years of working experience within multilateral/ development institutions or similar organisations nationally, regionally and/or internationally.
Experience in international development or public health programs is added advantage.
