Required Skills and Competencies

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of effective written and verbal exchanges, and the ability to engage with a diverse range of stakeholders.
- Familiarity with Member States, Regional Economic Communities, AU Institutions, and development concepts.
- Proficient organisational and administrative skills to manage multiple tasks and prioritise effectively.
- High proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and project management software.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team, and to adapt to fast paste work environment.
- Proactive in taking initiative to support project activities and handling unforeseen challenges.
- Effective time management skills to meet tight deadlines and manage a variety of project demands.
- Skilled in providing comprehensive administrative support, including organising meetings, coordinating logistics, and managing documentation.
- Strong capacity for collaboration and coordination to facilitate smooth project implementation.
- Experience in designing and disseminating communication materials, particularly in the context of international development.
Education and Experience:
A Minimum of a High School Certificate and a College Diploma in General Administration, Developmental Studies, Office Administration, Management, Social Sciences, or a related field. Minimum five (5) years of progressive administrative or project support experience, including at least two (2) years in a similar role in national, regional, international, or multinational organisations.
