Requirements
  • Be in position of an NQF Level 7/ Degree in Human Resources
  • Preferred NQF 8-9/ Post Graduate Course or Honours Degree in HRM
  • Should have at least 5 years of relevant work experience as a Senior Recruitment Manager in a complex environment.
  • Preferred 7 – 8 years of relevant work experience as a Senior Recruitment Manager in a complex environment.
  • Solid experience with (phone and in-person) interviews, candidate screening and evaluation at a Senior and Executive Management level.
  • Practical experience with applicant tracking systems and sourcing scarce skills.
  • Knowledge in competency-based interviewing.
  • Knowledge of talent management frameworks
  • Knowledge of headhunting Scarce skills
  • Knowledge of recruitment software and metrics and recruitment market trends
  • Knowledge of Social media platforms for sourcing
  • Knowledge of all relevant labour legislation: BEA, EEA, SDA, SLA, LRA etc.
  • Knowledge of organisational policies, procedures and project management
  • Knowledge of Corporate Governance and Human Resources Management
  • Knowledge of Financial Management and information systems
  • Knowledge of Business objectives and strategies

Responsibilities
  • Contribute to the review and development of recruitment policies and procedures.
  • Develop sustainable talent acquisition, hiring plans and strategies, aligned with the organization’s shifting business needs.
  • Design, planning, and executing recruitment and selection processes for the entire SANParks.
  • Review recruitment software and suggest the best option for company needs.
  • Advise line managers on recruitment policies and related procedures.
  • Explore market best practices in the recruitment and placement of employees.
  • Direct and supervise the activities of human resources recruitment teams.
  • Act as a single point of contact for managers regarding recruitment topics.
  • Design recruitment training for human resources recruiters and line managers for the entire SANParks.
  • Build quality relationships with internal customers and external recruitment stakeholders.
  • Identify and implement talent acquisition technology, to minimize cost and ensure a return on that investment.
  • Set social media communication strategy for different job profiles and functions in an organization.
  • Determine current staffing needs and produce forecasts.
  • Use metrics to create reports and identify areas of improvement e.g. time to hire, cost to hire.
  • Keep track of recruiting metrics.
  • Draft reports and liaise with management on metrics
  • Design the selection matrix used in choosing the optimum recruitment channel and source.
  • Conduct research to identify and select suitable job fairs and career events.
  • Implement new sourcing methods sources, screen and shortlist competent candidates with the appropriate skills through various alternative sourcing methodologies within agreed time frames and Service Level Agreements.
  • Guide the interviewing process ensuring candidates’ skills and qualifications match the job requirements.
  • Facilitate Competency Assessments for the candidates to move forward in the recruitment selection process. Share the assessment report with the interview panel and capture the way forward.
  • Prepare periodic reports for clients to update them on tasks in progress, number of candidates searched, and the number qualified.
  • Prepare interview schedules, and ensure the panel interview is appointed and signed off.
  • Inform short-listed candidates of interview dates and other relevant information or processes.
  • Stay up-to-date on labour legislation and inform recruiters and managers about changes in regulations.
  • Develop, implement and manage onboarding and Induction programme.
  • Ensure the HR Induction checklist is signed off and recorded.
  • Prepare and effectively manage recruitment budget within laid down parameters as well as ensuring that salary trends are recorded.
  • Able to effectively manage suppliers to budget and quality.
  • Lead and manage a talent acquisition team and establish an effective trusting relationship with Senior Management to deliver an efficient value-added Human Capital service.
  • Compile HR Plans and staffing requirements for the department.
  • Ensure that employees are appropriately recruited, selected, appraised, and rewarded.
  • Set clear performance expectations. Seeks and gives feedback.
  • Ensure that the appropriate framework, mindset, and practices are in place to embrace, react or respond to the employee/employer relationship.
  • Appraise performance outcomes. Plans and supports the development of others.
  • Utilizes subordinate’s time, skills and potential effectively.
  • Mentor and coach staff.
  • Encourages teamwork and collaboration.
