Requirements
  • Be in a possession of a three-year or more degree or diploma qualification in graphic design / Multimedia Production or a related fine arts field.
  • Added advantage is:
  • Communication qualification and/or experience.
  • Conservation, tourism, or socio-economic transformation-related qualification or experience.
  • Should have 5 years of work experience in graphic design and editing experience.
  • Experience or exposure to the fields of conservation, tourism and/or socio-economic transformation will be an added advantage.
  • Should have social media platform management and usage knowledge.
  • Have proficiency in multimedia software and tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Final Cut Pro, Avid).
  • Have strong technical skills in video, audio, and graphic production.
  • Create and curate shareable content such as the rollout of digital campaigns.
  • Knowledge of graphic design and editing.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive digital and multimedia content strategy aligned with the SANParks goals.
  • Provide creative expression that is message-aligned and consistent with the corporate brand.
  • Produce engaging digital content and resources for use across the website, ranging from video, photography, graphics, audio, and other multimedia for all of our digital channels to support day-to-day activity and campaigns.
  • Storyboard, self-shoot, and edit video content to support day-to-day activity and campaigns.
  • Oversee the production of high-quality digital content including videos, animations, graphics, and interactive media.
  • Ensure consistency and adherence to brand guidelines across all multimedia content.
  • Work with the GM: Media, Public Relations, and Stakeholders to identify and prioritize organizational digital content needs and contribute to the organisation’s content strategy.
  • Work with freelancers and agencies on additional requests where necessary.
  • Ensure presence on relevant social media platforms.
  • Work with the GM: Media, Public Relations, and Stakeholders to identify opportunities and pilot new digital content formats and/or platforms.
  • Develop and produce content directed at targeted audiences resulting in growth.
  • Contribute to departmental editorial calendars and team project management tools to identify content needs, gaps, and requirements and to plan and schedule new content accordingly.
  • Lead and manage a team of multimedia designers, videographers, editors, and other production staff.
  • Attending events and campaign launches will be necessary from time to time to capture content.
  • Plan, design, develop, and oversee the production of high-quality digital media.
  • Provide creative expression that is message-aligned and consistent with the corporate brand.
  • Manage the end-to-end production process, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders and external vendors to ensure timely delivery of projects.
  • Foster a collaborative and innovative team environment.
  • Identify opportunities and prepare shareable creative content.
  • Design and implement digital campaigns.
  • Analyse and report on the effectiveness of multimedia campaigns and initiatives.
  • Utilise data insights to optimize future content strategies.
  • Consolidate all digital assets into our Brand platforms and Intranet for better management and control.
