Requirements are:
Minimum Qualifications
An appropriate, recognised qualification at NQF Level 7 or equivalent.
A relevant NQF level 8 qualification will be an advantage.
Minimum Experience
Eight years’ relevant work experience.
Experience and exposure in the post-school education system will be an advantage.
Experience in the professional body space will be an advantage.

Good knowledge of the Education sector legislative and regulatory environment.

Key performance areas:
Manage the evaluation of professional body applications.
Assure the quality of evaluation reports.
Evaluate and submit reports on litigation cases against SAQA.
Provide advice on any external queries.
Identify trends in the processes related to the evaluation and status of professional bodies and their designations, including recognition, registration, and review activities.
Ensure that fees for services rendered by the unit have been received.
Oversee the monitoring of professional bodies and professional designations for compliance.
Manage the implementation, monitoring and review of NQF policies.
Action any decisions and manage the output of governance structures responsible for the recognition of professional bodies and the registration of professional designations.
Develop and maintain stakeholder relationships.
Collaborate with stakeholders to respond to critical issues and new developments in the SA NQF and the education landscape.
Lead, guide and develop staff in the professional body sub-unit.
