Key Responsibilities:
* General administrative duties to support SCM, HR, and finance processes such as ordering and controlling of assets and
consumables, processing travel arrangements and adhering to procedures in conjunction with the SAEON National Office.
* Tracking and reporting back on all procedures related to the above
* Provide general professional assistance to the Node staff
* Provide support with travel arrangements of the node's staff (end to end)
* Provide administration support to node projects and projected related tasks
* Offer administrative support to the scientific staff as well as external contractors and students
* Assisting with workshops and meetings (logistics, minutes taking, invitations and catering)
* Maintain the asset register and manage the usage of SAEON Fynbos vehicles
* Administer Node level financial administration and reporting (including petty cash, claims and reconciliations)
* Administer Node publicity and communication and maintenance of the website content.
* General office orderliness, tidiness and upkeep
* Support science educational outreach
* Provide ad hoc administrative support to SAEON where necessary.
Key Requirements:
Qualification:
Grade 12 and 1 year diploma in office Management or Business Administration
Experience:
* Experience in MS Word and MS Excel
* Workflow management
* Internet search functions, email and use of shared drives
* Records management
