Requirements
Be in possession of a B.Com Degree in Accounting/ Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or equivalent.
Registration with a professional body will be an added advantage (SAIPA, ACCA, CIMA, SAICA).
Have a minimum of 5 (five) years of experience in a financial management position.
Experience in Financial Accounting, audits, and financial management of projects.
Understanding the Public Finance Management Act and Supply Chain Management regulations.
Experience working with Great Plains or other financial accounting packages will be an added advantage.
A valid Code 08 driver’s license.
Microsoft Office software competency
Responsibilities
Effective financial management of Expanded Public Works Programme (EPWP) and Infrastructure projects.
Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and organizational policies and procedures.
Responsible for an accounting system to provide accurate and timely financial information and reconciliations.
To develop, enhance, implement, and enforce internal control systems.
Manage project-specific audits, and internal and external audits for projects.
Responsible for the submission of progress payment reports and financial information.
Manage and maintain a record system of financial documentation.
Maintain an up-to-date fixed asset register and manage inventory.
Oversee the unit’s supply chain management function.
Manage the budget and finances for the unit.
Lead and develop unit finance staff.
Liaison with funders and role-players.
