Requirements

• BSc or BTech In Molecular Biology, Genetics or similar qualification or higher
• 1 -2 years’ knowledge/experience in Molecular Biology or Genetics
• 1 -2 years’ knowledge/experience with basic molecular biology techniques e.g. RNA, DNA isolation, PCR and Gel Electrophoresis
• Knowledge of good laboratory practice (GLP)

Advantageous

• Knowledge/experience in next generation sequencing (NGS) laboratory workflows
• Knowledge/experience with sample management
• Experience with DNA and RNA quality control

The following criteria apply to the selection of candidates:

• Not studying full-time/ classes must be after normal working hours  
• No formal work experience within the Molecular Biology/Genetics field
