Key Responsibility Areas will include the following
Drive the implementation of the HR strategy in the Divisions by ensuring that HR initiatives are fully aligned to business goals
Strategically and operationally partner with the allocated business Units/Divisions
Pro-actively analyze trends in respect of the HR value chain as well as client expectations in line with the goals of MRC for the purpose of improving the service offering as well as quality of service offering
Provide a comprehensive employee life cycle and staff centered, pro-active and integrated HR generalist service
Create, plan and implement HR solutions, including interventions and practices according to the needs of the Divisions
Develop a workforce plan that is based on the identification and analyses of the environment and trends with regards to capacity planning for a Unit/Division/Directorate
Partner with Unit/Division/Directorate in developing customized talent sourcing strategies, depending on their capacity requirements
Ensure organizational structures/organograms, job designs, job evaluation and grading are implemented according to and aligned with OD/REM Specialist directives in relation to Unit/Division/Directorate and SAMRC strategic delivery objectives
Core Requirements
3 Year Qualification (National Diploma/ Degree in Human Resources or related field)
6 – 8 years’ experience in Human Resources as a Generalist, including demonstrable experience with HR metrics and understanding of HR functions and best practices
Full understanding of all HR functions and best practices
Thorough knowledge of labour legislation
Accuracy and attention to detail
Added Advantage
Honors or Postgraduate Diploma in related field
8 -10 years’ experience in Human Resources as a Generalist
A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a Managerial or Supervisory role
