Required Skills and Competencies:

• Experience in the public sector and proven track record of collaborating with private and civil society organizations to deliver results.
• Ability to lead, develop and nurture networks among Member States and development partners.
• Experience in processing and analysing data using one or more statistical software packages.
• Demonstrated strong management, coordination, teamwork and planning skills.
• Excellent diplomacy skills and a proven ability to establish and maintain interpersonal and professional relationships with AUDA-NEPAD, Member States and other stakeholders.
• Experience in managing organizational resources and deployment in pursuit of innovative approaches and initiatives.
• Experience in leading and supervising a diverse team and the ability to leverage limited resources and staff for maximum impact.
• Expertise in identifying and adapting best practices to specific strategic contexts.
• Ability to always maintain confidentiality at the highest level.
• High level of strategic thinking, team leadership and problem-solving.
• High level of integrity and accountability, flexible approaches to work coupled with enthusiasm, commitment and energy.
• Ability to perform multiple tasks and work under pressure with a wide range of individuals and institutions

Qualifications and experience:

A Master’s Degree in Public Policy, Business Management, Social Sciences, Economics or any other related field with at least ten (10) years of post-qualification experience in:

• Design, partnership and resource mobilization strategy and related tools and instruments.
• Proven experience in the successful development of partnerships, network building, and/or resource mobilization is required.
• Extensive experience in clearly communicating results, evidence, and issues and in conducting strategic research and policy analysis.
• Experience coordinating and liaising with government agencies, regional economic communities and development partners communities

Or

A Bachelor’s degree in Public Policy, Business Management, Social Sciences, Economics or any other related field with at least twelve (12) years of post-qualification experience in:

• Design, partnership and resource mobilization strategy and related tools and instruments.
• Proven experience in the successful development of partnerships, network building, and/or resource mobilization is required.
• Extensive experience in clearly communicating results, evidence, and issues and in conducting strategic research and policy analysis.
• Experience coordinating and liaising with government agencies, regional economic communities and development partners communities.
• Experience within public sector, multilateral institutions, and international non-governmental or similar organizations nationally, regionally and/or internationally.
