Finance Officer Grants

Required Skills and Competencies

• Experience in full-cycle grant management of donor-funded projects.
• Ability to perform multiple tasks and work under pressure with a wide range of individuals and institutions.
• Creative thinking, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good organisation, planning and time management skills.
• Excellent written and oral communications and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a multi-cultural and multi-national environment.

Education and Experience:

Candidates must have a minimum of a Master’s degree in Financial Management, Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or a related field with two (2) years of relevant work experience in a busy finance office responsible for accounting, grants and financial management within a development finance institution, international or multinational organisation. Experience in working within a non-profit environment and knowledge of non-profit accounting principles is an advantage.

Or

a Bachelor’s degree in Financial Management, Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or a related field with four (4) years of relevant work experience in a busy finance office responsible for accounting, grants and financial management within a development finance institution, international or multinational organisation. Experience in working within a non-profit environment and knowledge of non-profit accounting principles is an advantage.

• A professional qualification such as CPA, CA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent is an added advantage.
• Experience in budget management , grants management, financial reporting, accounting, and audit in international organisation, public or private sector is required.
• Working experience in SAP or a similar ERP is required, and advanced experience in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
• Practical experience in managing international development partner funds is a requirement.
