Requirements

• Grade 12
• Completed Trade test as an Air-Conditioning and Refrigeration Artisan/Mechanic
• 3 years post-trade test experience in the installation and maintenance of domestic,
  commercial and/or industrial air-conditioning and refrigeration systems
• Ability to efficiently perform accurate fault finding on the above air conditioning and
  refrigeration systems
• Ability to perform on-the-job repair work of above above-stated systems and associated
  components
• Ability to work under pressure and hot, humid conditions, and physical fitness to climb ladders and lift
  heavy equipment
• A registration as an authorized person for handling and working with gases under pressure
  or attended a course for Authorized Refrigeration Practitioner (Safe Handling of Gas), shall
  be an added advantage
• A valid motor vehicle driver’s license
• Supervisory skills
• A diploma in air conditioning and refrigeration will be an added advantage.

Responsibilities

• To install, maintain, repair, and service domestic, commercial, and industrial air-conditioning systems
  and refrigeration systems,
• Follow industry regulations and standards in performing their duties
• Perform standby duties and attend to breakdown works.
• Maintain and test all relevant tools and testing and safety equipment.
• Supervisory, mentoring, and training of subordinate staff,
• Perform administrative work for staff.
• Comply with health, safety, and environmental requirements
