  • Strategic planning and co-ordination
  • Conceptualise revenue management improvement initiatives;
  • Support delivery of multi-disciplinary projects – brainstorming; trouble shooting; stakeholder engagement; risk management;
  • Oversee and co-ordinate revenue related operations; and following up with Specialist resources as required /requested;
  • Prepare presentations; draft reports/ briefing notes/presentations/response to Parliamentary questions and similar input for various forums/ committees as required;
  • Conceptualise projects pertaining to municipal revenue management and participate in National Treasury’s supply chain management process as instructed.
  • Participate at stakeholder forums as directed.
  • Prepare (presentations; agendas; content/strategy) for stakeholder related forums chaired by the Director: Revenue Management; maintain meeting action lists and follow-up on delivery.
  • Input to conceptualising training initiatives that may arise from project implementation.
  • Identify opportunities for municipal capacity building related to revenue management and technical training relevant to National Treasury’s LGBA’s tools for improving municipal revenue management.
  • A minimum of eight years demonstrated experience at a senior level in the public sector related to the local government sphere is required; operational experience with project management and municipal revenue management.
  • A minimum NQF level 7 related qualification as recognised by SAQA is required while additional learning in a related discipline will present an added advantage
  • At least 10 years of experience in municipal finance or revenue management, preferably with knowledge of utility billing systems.
  • Proficiency in financial software applications (e.g., ERP systems), Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel), and data analysis tools.
