Requirements
- Master’s degree in Commerce / Business Management / Conservation/ Science / Tourism.
- Senior management experience in a relevant field for a period of at least 10 to 12 years of which 7 years at Executive Management level.
- Park Management Experience.
- Financial Management and Commercial skills.
- A sound understanding of legislative framework including corporate governance.
- Ability to manage diversity within a complex environment
- Knowledge of the Conservation and Tourism industry.
- Strategic planning and leadership skills.
- Ability to manage and operate in a matrix environment.
- Good communication, Networking and Stakeholder Relationship Building skills.
- People management and Coaching skills.
Responsibilities
- Develop and drive the Parks Divisional functional strategy aligned with the overall organizational strategy.
- Develop, implement, and monitor the Business Plan to deliver on strategic objectives.
- Ensure business efficiency and optimize commercial opportunities.
- Provide leadership, development, and management of human capital to build a high performance culture.
- Manage and strengthen relationships with key stakeholders for mutual benefit.
- Drive customer-centric service delivery and continuous improvement.
- Champion effective change management, transformation, and innovation.
- Promote sound corporate governance and compliance with relevant legislation and policies.
- Enhance Tourism products and commercialization.
- Effective management of Infrastructure and facilities maintenance and management.
- Ensure effective management of environmental crime.
- Enhance and effective financial management within Public Finance Management Framework.
